چکیده

The perimeters of the Oued-Souf region are irrigated by salty water coming from phreatic and thus progressive salinization soil occurs. This study aims at a qualitative analysis evolution salinity in soils pivot irrigation for several years. For this, three plots were pivots each agricultural region. choice these 3 is justified number years their cultivation: plot 1 has been cultivated 2 (2016–2017), 5 (2016–2020) studied compared to controlled not irrigated. done sprinkling with mineralized water. results obtained showed that characterized high low sodium adsorption ration (SAR). Sodium chloride contents excessive sprinkler mode. between was very significant control (non-irrigated). goes 0.38 dS/m site classified as 1.54 soil. geochemical facies regions after sulfate-calcium. A correlation observed calcium sulfate electrical conductivity (EC), so our dominated sulfate. These confirmed statistical data (PCA), which revealed heavily influenced Mg2+, Ca2+, SO42- topsoil. SOIL SPECTRAL PROPERTIES OF ARID REGION, KASHAN AREA, IRAN

This study determined some spectral characteristics and relationship between Landsat spectral reflectance and soil surface color in the arid region of Iran (Kashan). The study carried out in the kashan area that covers 90000 ha. Consisting of mountain, hills and flood plain. Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) data collected on July 2002 were used for this research. The color composite images produ...

Impact of Wastewater Irrigation on Soil Mechanical Properties in the Green Space of Mobarakeh Steel Complex

Long-term use of treated wastewaters for irrigation adds compounds and/or ions to soils which might alter the soil physical, hydraulic and mechanical properties. Soil mechanical properties are closely linked with the plant growth. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of short-, mid- and long-term applications of the treated wastewater of Mobarake Steel Company in Isfahan on the so...

Effect of Irrigation on Soil Properties in Jakara Kano, Nigeria

Soil samples from the Jakara irrigation project site were evaluated with respect to possible degradation caused by irrigation. Most of the soils were neutral to alkaline with pH values ranging between 6.58 + 0.04 and 10.45 + 0.03. The electrical conductivity ranged from 0.3 + 0.01 to 75.2 + 0.06 dSm-1 which implies low to very high salinity. The concentrations of the exchangeable cations in the...

Effects of Added Organic Matter and Water on Soil Carbon Sequestration in an Arid Region

It is generally predicted that global warming will stimulate primary production and lead to more carbon (C) inputs to soil. However, many studies have found that soil C does not necessarily increase with increased plant litter input. Precipitation has increased in arid central Asia, and is predicted to increase more, so we tested the effects of adding fresh organic matter (FOM) and water on soi...

Effect of treated wastewater on soil chemical and physical properties in an arid region

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of treated wastewater on soil chemical and physical properties. Field experiment was conducted in Borkhar region in Isfahan province in central Iran with two water treatments of wastewater and groundwater under sprinkler and surface irrigation systems for three crops of sugar beet, corn and sunflower. Soil samples were collected to 120 cm dep...
